Carey Foster is making arrance ments to begin the irrigation of his ranch south of the city about the first of the month. The lft hone-power Fairbanks gasoline ngine which he installed over a yea' ago will be brought into play this year and used to its fullest capacity. During the past fall considerable more land on the ranch has been made ready for seeding and a larger acreage will ne in aiiana mis year, requiring nearly as much water as the plajit is cipable of pumping. Dates have been set for the wocl sales which take place at Shaniko and neighboring points during May, June and July. Sales at Shaniko take place June 5 and 6, 19 and 20 and July 10 and 11. If the plans now leing con sider d by the members of the Ladits' Annex carry through, Prim ville yards will lie the lietter for the efforts which will le made towards beautifying them. The members of the organization at their annual meeting which takes place the first Tuesday of next month will take the matter, which has already been discussed, before the Annex for action and an effort will be made to get the school children and property own ers tnteresteil in a plan .of making general improvements to the lawns and residence property in all over the city.
